Throwback—A Week in France

Day-dreaming on a train to the Lakes about our trip to Normandy last year. We stayed in the village of Fontaine-sous-Jouy & explored crumbling castles & châteaux.

The river that runs through Fontaine-sous-Jouy—it was a place to wash, bathe & socialise in the village. It's a sleepy place with only a little tabac & patisserie (though the latter was closed for the summer!).
